                      Service
Phi Delta Theta is a fraternity dedicated to service. Individually, our brothers are involved in community service around Charlottesville and beyond. Each semester, Virginia Beta Phis give back to our community by tutoring at local schools and adult education programs, building houses, working with mentally handicapped patients, assisting in the UVa hospital system, and much more.

We also come together numerous times each semester to serve as a fraternity. In recent semesters we have been involed with Habitat for Humanity, the Charlottesville Boys and Girls Club, the Rivanna Trails Foundation, Charlottesville Department of Parks and Recreation, and other Charlottesville institutions dedicated to improving the city of Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Individually and as a fraternity, we continue to look for new opportunities to serve.

                      Philanthropy
Phi Delta Theta has chosen the ALS Association as its national philanthropy in honor of Phi Delta Theta member and baseball great, Lou Gehrig. Each year, thousands of dollars are raised for the ALS Foundation through the efforts of our Phi Delta Theta chapters and the General Headquarters
